The Beauty of Bees Exhibit 2023 - Mississauga Arts Council
The Mississauga Arts Council (MAC) in partnership with Streetsville Bread and Honey Festival held the The Beauty of Bees Exhibit on Sunday, June 4th, 2023 at the Pollinator Garden beside the BIA building from 1:30-3:30 PM.
Cash prizes of $500 for the first place winner, Tomasz Szalwinski, $300 for the second place winner, Suhaas Medisetty, $200 for the third place winner, Karlene Bland, and People’s Choice Award Winner, Melina Cossio.
The event also hosted the reveal of Angela Chao’s community-created mural, ‘Happiness is Streetsville’!

Visual Arts Mississauga at Riverwood | Where Art Meets Nature
Located in central Mississauga and nestled along the banks of the historic Credit River, the 60-hectare Riverwood property is a special place where history, nature, beauty and peace blend together to create an enjoyable and lasting outdoor experience.
Founded in 1977 and incorporated in 1978, Visual Arts Mississauga (VAM) at Riverwood is a not-for-profit charitable arts organization. As one of Mississauga’s six pillar arts and culture organizations and its premier visual art centre, VAM concentrates its efforts on three areas of excellence: Art Education, Art Exhibition and Community Engagement. VAM’s team of artist instructors offer over 200 courses, workshops, and camps.

The Mississauga Arts Awards (The MARTYS) are the Mississauga Arts Council's annual award celebration honouring outstanding individual and organizational contributions to the arts and cultural activity in our City.
The 2023 MARTY Awards were held on May 11, 2023 at the Mississauga Convention Centre. 500 attendees recognized the achievements of 59 finalists and 16 MARTY Award Winners plus 3 Community Award Winners.

Hundreds of shoppers come out to browse items from local vendors selling holiday gifts, crafts, and artisan goods. Enjoy festive entertainment from community choirs while checking off that holiday gift list!
Gift Wrapping is available by donation with proceeds supporting Epilepsy South Central Ontario.
FREE admission with the option to donate nonperishable food items for The Compass Food Bank at the door.

Sauga Teens Got Talent 2023 - Mississauga Arts Council
Sauga Teens Got Talent is a juried singing competition for teenagers aged 13-19 hosted by Streetsville Bread and Honey Festival, produced by Mississauga Arts Council, sponsored by Metalworks Studios and Metalworks Institute.
This year’s competition took place at Streetsville Bread and Honey Festival on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 and featured teenage singers performing in a juried competition with established jurors from the Mississauga music community, competing for prize money and courses from Metalworks Institute and Music Industry Experience Camp(s) at Metalworks Studios!

The Mississauga Arts Council celebrated a milestone anniversary during the 25th annual Mississauga Arts Awards, also known as the MARTY awards, honouring the best of the city’s arts and culture scene. Hundreds of guests enjoyed dinner, dancing, networking – and, of course, a series of awards honouring established and emerging artists in the city.
